MyQube has created The Technology Forum.
The Technology Forum Board meeting has taken place in Monte-Carlo last week.
Milan, February 4th, 2003 - MyQube, the international venture capital
firm that manages the EuroQube Fund backed by Pirelli, European Investment
Fund, Benetton Group, Mediobanca and Banca Intesa, announces to have set up
The Technology Forum.
The objective of the Forum is to identify and analyse through private and
public events, breakthrough technologies that shall be of strategical importance
worldwide and that shall be instrumental for the development of innovative
products in the next five to seven years.
The Technology Forum Advisory Board is chaired by Gian Luca Braggiotti,
Founding Partner of myQube, and managed by Lucio Pinto, Director of the
Silvio Tronchetti Provera Foundation for Scientific Research.
Todate the Board Members are: David Clark, Director Advanced Network Architecture
Group, Laboratory for Computer Science, MIT - Giorgio Grasso, CEO Pirelli
Labs - Jean-Marie Lehn, Nobel Prize for Chemistry - George Metakides, Former
Director, European Commission, Directorate General Information Society, DE -
Richard Portes, Professor of Economics, London Business School - Mauro Sentinelli,
Managing Director Telecom Italia Mobile - Ronald J. Smith, Senior Vice President
and General Manager Wireless Communications and Computing Group, Intel
Corporation - Hans-Jurgen Warnecke, Former President Fraunhofer Institute,
Germany.
The first Board meeting has taken place in Monte-Carlo, Thursday, January 30th,
and Friday, January 31st, 2003, at the Grimaldi Forum. The subject in agenda was:
"Emerging Trends and Technologies in the New Cycle". The different
subjects discussed during the meeting were: The evolution of worldwide economy
and new business strategies- The new metaphor of ICT - The evolution of Moore's
Law - Wireless systems after 3G - Organising for effective innovation - The trends
in nanotechnologies.
The meeting was attended by a selected number of representatives of the
technology and telecommunications community.
Gian Luca Braggiotti, Partner of myQube and Chairman of The Technology Forum Board,
